Horse Gym Maintenance, Servicing and After-Sales Support

Support throughout the life of your Horse Gym equipment

A Horse Gym treadmill or aqua trainer quickly becomes an established part of a yard’s daily exercise programme. Reliable operation therefore depends not only on the quality of the equipment, but also on appropriate operator care, planned servicing and access to technical support when required.

Equine Health Centre provides ongoing support for the full Horse Gym range supplied in the UK, UAE and Qatar, with servicing available through EHC’s own team, experienced subcontractors and, where appropriate, coordination with Horse Gym in Germany.

Support covers dry treadmills, Aqua Line water treadmills and the wider Horse Gym range.

Horse Gym support in the UK, UAE and Qatar

UK clients are supported through EHC’s Somerset office. Depending on the equipment and work required, support may be provided directly by EHC, through approved subcontractors or in coordination with Horse Gym.

EHC also has our own dedicated Horse Gym support based in Dubai, covering installations across the UAE as well as Qatar.

Holding spare parts in both the UK and UAE helps EHC support existing installations and respond to maintenance requirements without every component having to be sourced as needed.

Where a fault requires urgent attention, EHC will normally aim to respond within one to two business days.

Planned servicing

Regular servicing helps identify wear, adjustment requirements and developing issues before they interfere with normal operation.

Typical Horse Gym service intervals are approximately every three to six months, depending on the system, frequency of use and operating environment.

Service contracts are available for clients who prefer maintenance to be planned as part of the ongoing ownership of their equipment.

Exact servicing requirements will vary by model, with EHC advising on an appropriate schedule following installation.

What is checked during a dry treadmill service?

Dry treadmill servicing concentrates on the mechanical, electrical and safety systems involved in regular equine exercise.

A typical service may include checks of:

  • treadmill belt condition, alignment and tension
  • belt lubrication system
  • belt brush and under-roller areas
  • side rollers and bearings
  • greasing points
  • incline operation
  • motor operation
  • control panel and filters
  • safety beam reflector
  • service reminder system

Any items requiring further work can be recorded as advisory actions, including whether attention is needed immediately or can be reviewed at a later service.

Aqua Line servicing

Aqua Line systems combine a treadmill with water management, filtration and additional mechanical systems, so servicing involves a broader range of checks.

Alongside the treadmill belt, motor, controls and safety equipment, an Aqua Trainer service may include inspection of:

  • pump performance
  • disinfectant dosing equipment
  • filtration system operation
  • filter differential pressure
  • backwash operation
  • pneumatic valves and pneumatic systems
  • air compressor oil and condensate
  • Aqua Trainer and tank risers
  • pipework for leaks
  • emergency valve operation
  • entry and exit door alignment and seals

The additional water-management systems make regular servicing particularly important for Aqua Line installations.

Operator checks between services

Formal servicing works alongside routine checks carried out by the people using the equipment.

Horse Gym treadmill operators may be asked to carry out daily, weekly and monthly checks covering areas such as the running belt, ramps, fixings, emergency stop, light barrier, lubrication levels, incline operation, bearings, belt tension and hydraulic components.

Regular cleaning also forms an important part of day-to-day care, particularly where dirt, bedding or manure can build up around moving parts.

Operators receive training when a Horse Gym system is installed so they understand the controls, routine checks and basic maintenance requirements relevant to their equipment.

Remote diagnostics and technical support

Some Horse Gym systems can also be supported using remote diagnostics.

Remote access can help EHC investigate certain operating issues, review system behaviour and determine whether an engineer visit or replacement component is likely to be required.

Where remote diagnosis is not appropriate, EHC can arrange further technical support through the relevant UK, UAE or Horse Gym service route.

Spare parts support

EHC holds Horse Gym spare parts in both the UK and UAE.

Local stock provides additional reassurance for yards and equestrian facilities where treadmills or aqua trainers form part of regular horse exercise routines.

Availability will depend on the component required, so EHC should be contacted with the product model, serial number and details of the issue where possible.

Maintenance should begin with installation

Good access for servicing should be considered when a Horse Gym system is first installed.

Enough space should be allowed for engineers to reach mechanical components, control systems, filters and other service points. Aqua Line installations also need practical access to pumps, filtration equipment and water-management systems.

Early planning can make future inspection, cleaning and servicing considerably easier.

Warranty and service records

Warranty arrangements are supplied in accordance with the relevant Horse Gym product manual.

Keeping operator checks, routine maintenance and formal servicing properly recorded can also provide a useful history of the equipment throughout its working life.
